Basketball Recap: Ryleigh St.George and Shaniyah Brown Secure Win for Southeastern Christian Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wilmington Christian Academy, Southeastern Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Dillon Christian Warriors out 51-48. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-40 back in December of 2024.

Southeastern Christian Academy was led to victory by Shaniyah Brown and Ryleigh St.George. Brown posted 11 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks, while St.George had 11 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Brown a new career-high in blocks. Elizabeth Dickerson was another key player, putting up nine points along with five boards and five steals.

Southeastern Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Southeastern Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Dillon Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

Southeastern Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 43-4 victory against Lowcountry Prep on the 7th. Dillon Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
