Baseball Game Preview: Central Woodstock Falcons vs. Rappahannock County

The Central Woodstock Falcons will venture away from home to take on Rappahannock County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Woodstock will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

While Central Woodstock didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Stonewall Jackson with a sharp 8-1 victory on Friday. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Central Woodstock got a great performance from Isaac Barb as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Barb has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Noah Moss was a standout: he scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Luke Bushong, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Rappahannock County came up short against Orange County on Monday and fell 10-6.

Central Woodstock's record is now 6-3. As for Rappahannock County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.
