            The Holy Cross Crusaders will face off against the Honesdale Hornets at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Neither Holy Cross nor Honesdale posted many  runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.
Tuesday just wasn't the day for Holy Cross' offense. They lost  11-0 to Mid Valley on Tuesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 10, 2023, but that streak is no more.
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Honesdale, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Western Wayne  a   2-0 shutout  on Monday. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Hornets as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Not much got past  Brody Patrisso, who gave up just  a  hit to keep Western Wayne off the board. Patrisso is becoming a predictor of Honesdale's success: when he allows at  most three  hits the team is 2-1 (and 5-10 when he doesn't).
 At the plate, Honesdale saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Nick Martin, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  run. That's the most  hits  Martin has posted since back in April.
 Holy Cross' loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Honesdale, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.
