Basketball Recap: Payton Anderson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lyman over Mountain View

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lyman can now relate to. They fell to the Mountain View Buffalos 31-25. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Buffalos: they've now lost four in a row.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Payton Anderson, who posted six points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Anderson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Anna France, who had seven points and three steals.

Lyman's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Mountain View, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Lyman has already played their next game, a 26-23 victory against Lovell on the 7th. As for Mountain View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-24 loss against Cody on the 7th.
