Baseball Recap: Roaring Fork Comes Up Short

After flying high against Delta on Friday, Roaring Fork came back down to earth. The Rams took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Discovery Canyon Thunder on Monday. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Thunder when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Roaring Fork has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Discovery Canyon, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Roaring Fork will challenge Basalt at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Longhorns have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Discovery Canyon, they will take on Air Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Kadets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.7 runs per game on average), something the Thunder will no doubt try to take advantage of.
