Recap: Seacrest Country Day Stingrays vs. Neumann Celtics
The Seacrest Country Day Stingrays and the Neumann Celtics squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Seacrest Country Day Stingrays had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Celtics by a score of 55-52. Seacrest Country Day's defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
Several Stingrays players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dragana ?cepanovic, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailee Hayhurst, who scored 12 points.
Sophia McCartney continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Neumann, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 30 rebounds. McCartney hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Sydney Martin, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Seacrest Country Day's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-5. As for Neumann, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-3.
Seacrest Country Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Neumann also has no future games currently scheduled.
