Oriskany had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Monday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Cooperstown Hawkeyes. This was payback for the Skyhawks, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Eddie Wright was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Sean Graziano, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Oriskany pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Cooperstown, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
