Softball Recap: Oceanside Sets Scoring Season-High Against Vista

Oceanside entered their tilt with Vista on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Panthers 15-4. The Pirates' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Oceanside got a massive performance out of Seaven Fuimaono, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Lexi Pantoja, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Oceanside was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .552. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2024.

Oceanside now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Vista, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
