Football Game Preview: Broadalbin-Perth Patriots vs. Coxsackie-Athens Riverhawks

The Broadalbin-Perth Patriots will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Coxsackie-Athens Riverhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Broadalbin-Perth is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Friday. They were beaten by Hudson 48-7.

Meanwhile, Coxsackie-Athens played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Fonda-Fultonville, falling 48-14. The Riverhawks haven't had much luck with the Valley Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Defeat or not, Coxsackie-Athens got some senior leadership from Tristan Canning and Rich Perino. Canning threw for 190 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes, while Perino picked up 108 receiving yards and one score. Perino's longest reception was for an incredible 71 yards.

Coxsackie-Athens' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Broadalbin-Perth, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
