Football Game Preview: Benbrook Bobcats vs. Dunbar Wildcats + Official Tickets

Benbrook is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. After each having a week off, they and the Dunbar Wildcats will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Benbrook is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games last Friday. They took a blow against Eagle Mountain, falling 46-15. The matchup marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Although Benbrook took the loss, they still got scores from Quentin Thomas and Brennan Barton.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats last Friday. Dunbar came up short against Kennedale, falling 48-22. The loss continues a trend for Dunbar in their meetings with Kennedale: they've now lost nine in a row.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Kamron Lloyd and Riley Bingham. Bingham had a great game and gained 228 total yards and five touchdowns. Meanwhile, Lloyd did his best for the losing side, rushing for 125 yards.

Dunbar now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Benbrook, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.

The upcoming contest will be a clash of competing strengths. Benbrook has relied on air attacks this season and has averaged 310.2 passing yards per game. Dunbar, on the other hand, has relied on a stout run game: they average 295.4 rushing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.
