Dale County had won three straight on the road, but on Thursday they bumped up to 4-2 to make it four. They strolled past the Opp Bobcats with points to spare, taking the game 35-21. The Warriors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Dale County can attribute much of their success to Aaron Beasley, who rushed for 64 yards and two scores, and also threw for 101 yards and one TD. Those 101 passing yards gave Beasley a new career-high.
Having lost for the first time this season, Opp fell to 5-1. They gained 186 more yards on the day, but it was Dale County that made the best use of them.
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Peyton Campbell, who rushed for 79 yards and one touchdown. Campbell really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run. Matthew Morgan helped out on the ground, rushing for 80 yards.
