Soccer Recap: Richlands Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Richlands won the last time they faced White Oak and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wildcats came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 2-0. Given Richlands' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while White Oak are ranked 227th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kamrey Watkins and Hailey Goodson scored both of Richlands' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 25 goals.

The victory (which was Richlands' third in a row) raised their record to 8-6-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for White Oak, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6-3.

Looking ahead, Richlands will host West Carteret at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for White Oak, they are taking a road trip to square off against Dixon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. White Oak's defense better be ready for this one: Dixon have averaged an impressive 2.8 goals per game this season.
