Baseball Recap: Selma Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Selma can now relate to. They fell 7-2 to the Hoover Patriots on Friday. If the Bears were looking for revenge after losing 9-5 to the Patriots when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Selma saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Selma is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-10. As for Hoover, their win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-8.

Selma does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hoover, they will head out to face off against Hanford at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
