Baseball Game Preview: Timber Creek Falcons vs. Southlake Carroll Dragons

For the second straight game, Timber Creek will face off against Southlake Carroll. Timber Creek will take on Southlake Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Timber Creek has won eight straight at home dating back to last season, while Southlake Carroll won three straight on the road also dating back to last season), something that'll have to change.

Timber Creek's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Saturday's struggle, when Southlake Carroll hitters got past them. Timber Creek came up short against Southlake Carroll on Saturday, falling 11-0. The Falcons were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Dragons' pitchers proved too tough.

Southlake Carroll is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. Timber Creek moved to 12-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
