Baseball Recap: Hernando Takes a Loss

Hernando and Nature Coast Tech squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Hernando had to settle for second. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sharks. The Leopards have struggled against the Sharks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Palmer Looper made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Hernando's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Nature Coast Tech, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Hernando does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nature Coast Tech, they will challenge South Sumter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Sharks surely won't give up without a fight.
