Basketball Game Preview: Copperas Cove Bulldawgs vs. Harker Heights Knights

Copperas Cove is 2-8 against Harker Heights since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Copperas Cove Bulldawgs will be playing at home against the Harker Heights Knights at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Copperas Cove sitting on three straight victories and Harker Heights on seven.

Copperas Cove will bounce into Friday's match after beating Midway, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Copperas Cove came out on top against Midway by a score of 49-42 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Harker Heights strolled past Temple with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 68-49. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Wildcats are ranked 491st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Copperas Cove is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points per game. As for Harker Heights, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-8.
