It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but United had no problem doing just that on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Judson Rockets a 42-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Longhorns, who have now won seven matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

A big part of United's win came down to the chemistry between Jorge Luna and his top target Colt Lozano. Luna threw for 406 yards and six TDs while completing 74.2% of his passes while Lozano picked up 212 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Lozano showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 69 yards. Santiago Delgado did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 48 receiving yards.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to United's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Judson's side was Eric Hernandez, who picked up a sack and made 17 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

United's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.0 points over those games. As for Judson, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Coming up, United is taking a road trip to take on Los Fresnos at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Luna and Robert Pineda. Judson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
