Baseball Game Preview: Bronx High School of Science Wolverines vs. Monroe Campus

Bronx High School of Science hasn't had much luck against Monroe Campus recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Bronx High School of Science will be playing in front of their home fans against Monroe Campus at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Bronx High School of Science managed to slip by DeWitt Clinton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Bronx High School of Science lost 8-2 to DeWitt Clinton on Thursday.

Bronx High School of Science saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Ehrlich, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Another was Johnathan Stern, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Monroe Campus' found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Morris on Friday. Monroe Campus' pitchers stepped up to hand Morris a 1-0 shutout.

Monroe Campus' victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Bronx High School of Science, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Bronx High School of Science was able to grind out a solid win over Monroe Campus when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 8-5. Will Bronx High School of Science repeat their success, or does Monroe Campus has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
