Basketball Game Preview: Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs vs. Carrboro Jaguars

The Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Carrboro Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Durham School of the Arts has struggled recently with seven defeats in a row, while Carrboro will arrive with three straight victories.

Durham School of the Arts lost 67-42 to Louisburg on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 549th, while the Warriors are ranked 195th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carrboro). They breezed by South Granville to the tune of 69-23 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Jaguars have posted since February 10, 2024.

Durham School of the Arts' loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Carrboro, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Durham School of the Arts took a serious blow against Carrboro in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 63-27. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Durham School of the Arts was down 36-8.
