Softball Preview: Fountain Valley Barons vs. Edison Chargers

Fountain Valley and Edison are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Barons will face off against the Chargers at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Edison took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Fountain Valley, who comes in off a win.

Fountain Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Newport Harbor with a sharp 14-3 win on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Courtney Kols looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.
