Softball Recap: Vinton Takes a Loss

Vinton came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Rosepine Eagles, falling 18-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Monday.

Vinton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Rosepine, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Vinton Lions challenge Lacassine Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vinton will need to watch out since Lacassine has now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups. As for Rosepine, they will challenge Iota at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Rosepine is on a three-game streak of home wins, Iota a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
