Volleyball Recap: Monte Vista Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Monte Vista lost against Morse back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Monarchs came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0.

Monte Vista was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Morse work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-18, 25-17.

Hailie Bautista was the offensive standout of the contest as she had eight digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in August.

Monte Vista has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Morse, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-9.

Looking ahead, Monte Vista will welcome Bayfront Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Morse and Canyon Hills will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
