Softball Recap: La Quinta Makes It Eight in a Row on the Road

After losing to Indio the last time they met, La Quinta decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Blackhawks walked away with a 6-1 win over the Rajahs on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blackhawks.

La Quinta pushed their record up to 15-2-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Indio, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-10 record.

Looking ahead, La Quinta will welcome Shadow Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 1.4 runs per game this season, so the Blackhawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Indio, they will square off against Yucca Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.21 runs per game on average), something the Rajahs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
