Baseball Recap: Homer Victorious

Homer won the last time they faced Arcadia and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Pelicans came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 6-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pelicans.

Paxton Prince was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since March 5th. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Homer's record now sits at 16-12. As for Arcadia, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Homer will challenge Logansport at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.67 runs per game on average), something the Pelicans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Arcadia, they will face off against Dodson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
