Basketball Game Recap: Borden Braves vs. Orleans Bulldogs

The Borden Braves lost against the Orleans Bulldogs back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Borden took a hard 51-32 fall against Orleans.

Orleans' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryce Jones, who scored 12 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Xavier Alston, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.

Borden has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season. As for Orleans, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Borden will challenge Springs Valley at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Orleans on the road again on Thursday and play against Loogootee at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st.
