If Pasadena wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played St. Francis, they should've done a better job of containing Ricardo Del Castillo. The St. Francis Golden Knights put the hurt on the Pasadena Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 victory on Wednesday thanks in part to Del Castillo, who had 11 digs and two assists. Those 11 digs gave him a new career-high.

St. Francis not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Pasadena between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-19.

St. Francis has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to aces: they averaged an imposing 4.75 aces in those games compared to only 2.86 in the others. Pasadena's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.

St. Francis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Cathedral on the 6th. As for Pasadena, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Burroughs on the 6th.
