Baseball Recap: California Lutheran Triumphs

The California Lutheran C-Hawks earned a 6-3 win over the Calvin Christian Crusaders on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the C-Hawks.

Mathias Galanos and Colton McGee made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Galanos tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, McGee pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Galanos also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because California Lutheran is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-5 otherwise. At the plate, Galanos got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, while McGee went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Christian Sutton, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

California Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Calvin Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
