Football Game Preview: Griffith Panthers vs. Knox Redskins

The Griffith Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Knox Redskins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Griffith sitting on seven straight victories and Knox on ten.

Griffith is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hammond Bishop Noll 62-8. That looming 62-8 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

Meanwhile, Knox was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Jimtown 50-21. Given the Redskins' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Jimmies are ranked 204th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Griffith better keep an eye on Myles McLaughlin. He was instrumental in Knox's win, rushing for 469 yards and seven scores while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. McLaughlin's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 23rd straight game with at least 121 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Knox's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Cain Weber, Brian Korcha, and Keyston Dickson, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Knox's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Griffith, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.

Griffith was taken down by Knox 66-28 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of McLaughlin, who rushed for 222 yards and four TDs while picking up 13.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 52 yards and one touchdown.
