Softball Recap: Gibson County Comes Up Short

Gibson County lost against Westview back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pioneers fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 4-2.

Gibson County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrea Criswell, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Gibson County's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Westview, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gibson County will challenge Milan at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Westview, they will venture away from home to face off against Ripley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
