Pinewood hadn't done well against Castilleja recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. The Panthers came out on top against the Gators by a score of  3-1. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Gators  back in September, they had to take a  3-1  loss.

 Mailey Wang paced Pinewood's offense, picking up 28 kills. Wang got some help from  Caitlin Yamaguchi and her 23 assists. Wang was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with eight aces.

Pinewood's record is now 17-8. As for Castilleja,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 7-8.
