Baseball Recap: Monache Marauders vs. Porterville Panthers
Monache fell victim to Porterville and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 7-0 walloping at the hands of the Porterville Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Monache of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
Monache got a good showing from Adam Guerrero, who pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits (he also didn't allow any walks).
At the plate, Monache saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ty Baxter, who went 1-for-3 with a stolen base. Baxter is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in the last four games he's played.
