Softball Recap: Thrasher Rebels vs. Falkner Eagles
Thrasher took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Falkner, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rebels had just enough and edged out the Eagles 11-10 on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Rebels considering their two-run performance the match before.

Delancy Sartain made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Carlee Grisham was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Brailey Bryan, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Thrasher always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Falkner only posted an OBP of .395.
Thrasher's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Falkner, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thrasher will head out to square off against Baldwyn at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Falkner, they will venture away from home to take on Pine Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
