Baseball Recap: Pinconning Triumphs

Pinconning won the last time they faced Bullock Creek and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Spartans never let the Lancers get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Trevin Billingsley was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Pinconning's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 5-8 when he doesn't).

The victory got Pinconning back to even at 8-8. As for Bullock Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.

Pinconning will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Beaverton at 4:00 p.m. The Beavers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bullock Creek, they are taking a road trip to square off against Gladwin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
