Softball Recap: Mount Vernon Comes Up Short

After flying high against Annandale on Thursday, Mount Vernon came back down to earth. The Majors lost 12-2 to the Edison Eagles on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 12-0 loss two weeks ago.

Mount Vernon's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Edison, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-7.

Mount Vernon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Edison, they will square off against Hayfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
