Basketball Recap: Langtree Charter Academy Comes Up Short

Langtree Charter Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 52-34 bruising from the Corvian Community Cardinals. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-43 back in December of 2024.

Corvian Community's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Catie Wheatley, who posted six points. Isabella Chaney was another key player, putting up six points.

Langtree Charter Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Corvian Community, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8.

Langtree Charter Academy will head out to take on Lincoln Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln Charter will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Langtree Charter Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Corvian Community, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-20 defeat against Christ the King on the 30th.
