Midland Legacy falls despite big games from Max Vera and Diego Rodriguez

Recap: Midland Legacy Rebels vs. Frenship Tigers

The Midland Legacy Rebels pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a tough 81-58 loss at the hands of Frenship. While losing is never fun, Midland Legacy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 465th, while Frenship is ranked 23rd).

Diego Rodriguez and Max Vera certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Rodriguez scored 12 points along with six rebounds, while Vera scored ten points along with seven assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Midland Legacy and nudges their season record down to 13-16. As for Frenship, they pushed their record up to 25-4 with that win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season.

Midland Legacy will take on Midland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Midland Legacy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday. As for Frenship, they will head out on the road to face off against San Angelo Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. San Angelo Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
