Softball Recap: Boron Takes a Loss

Boron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-5 to the Kern Valley Broncs. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 9-1 to the Broncs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Aleigha Matthews was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

Boron now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Kern Valley, they moved to 6-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boron will welcome Mammoth at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kern Valley, they will take on Desert at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Desert will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Kern Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
