The Tri-City Christian Academy Warriors will challenge Flagstaff Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Tri-City Christian Academy got the win against New Way Learning Academy by a conclusive 12-3. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by six runs or more this season.
Joel Miller made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. Miller was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Tri-City Christian Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-5 otherwise.

In other batting news, Tri-City Christian Academy let Michael Brady and Canaan Brady run wild. Michael scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Canaan scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Tri-City Christian Academy is undefeated when Michael posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Levi Mestler, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Flagstaff Christian earned a 9-5 victory over New Way Learning Academy on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Flagstaff Christian.
Like Tri-City Christian Academy, Flagstaff Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Corbyn Miller. On the mound, he pitched 4.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Miller was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caden Goble, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Jesse Kleinhenz was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Flagstaff Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Way Learning Academy only posted a batting average of .250.
Flagstaff Christian picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Tri-City Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Tri-City Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Flagstaff Christian in their previous matchup last Friday, winning 7-3. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do Flagstaff Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
