Softball Recap: Hesston Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Kingman/Norwich

Hesston faced Kingman/Norwich in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Swathers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 10-9. That's two games in a row now that the Swathers have lost by just one run.

Kaylee Harris was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Wendy Roth, who went 1-for-5 with one triple and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Hesston and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Hesston didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 loss against Liberal on the 29th. As for Kingman/Norwich, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 7-1 defeat against Halstead on the 29th.
