The Galesburg Christian Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Quad Cities Christian at home and fell 65-34. Galesburg Christian has struggled against Quad Cities Christian recently, as their game on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Seth Karl, who shot 6-for-8 from deep and dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds for Quad Cities Christian. That makes it three consecutive games in which Karl has scored at least a third of Quad Cities Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Cobie Becker-Paradiso, who scored ten points along with two steals and two blocks.
Galesburg Christian now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Quad Cities Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Galesburg Christian will take on Morning Star Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Quad Cities Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Tri-State Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. Tri-State Christian will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
