Culver Community pushed their score to 72 the last time they played Tri-Township, but on Friday they couldn't quite do it again. The Culver Community Cavaliers enjoyed a cozy 40-21 win over the Tri-Township Tigers. The victory continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Culver Community's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonas McCuen, who posted 13 points. Braylon Jackson was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Despite the loss, Tri-Township still got an impressive performance from Ethan Dailey, who earned six points and four steals. Those four steals gave Dailey a new career-high. Kyle Huhnke also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-18. As for Tri-Township, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Culver Community will square off against Knox at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Culver Community is facing Knox at the right time seeing as Knox is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Tri-Township, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 39-31 loss against Hammond Academy of Science & Tech on the 22nd.
