Baseball Recap: Arp Comes Up Short

Arp was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 7-1 to the Shelbyville Dragons.

Arp saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Sanford, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Arp's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10-1. As for Shelbyville, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-5-1.

Coming up, Arp will face off against West Rusk at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shelbyville, they will challenge Timpson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.44 runs per game on average), something the Dragons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
