The Norwalk Bears will square off against the Darien Blue Wave at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Norwalk's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Bridgeport Central 16-0. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Hilltoppers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Hailey Ermo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Morgan Bleakley was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Norwalk hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Darien got the win against McMahon on Monday by a conclusive 13-1. The result was nothing new for the Blue Wave, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.
Claire Willing tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Darien got a massive performance out of Vivian Knott, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Bella McCarthy, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Norwalk's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Darien, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.
Norwalk came out on top in a nail-biter against Darien in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, sneaking past 3-1. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Wave turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
