Basketball Recap: Spencer Piles Up the Points Against Jordan

Spencer entered their tilt with Jordan on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took their match with ease, bagging an 81-54 win over the Jordan Red Jackets. The Greenwave have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Spencer to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zyquan Bright, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. What's more, Bright also racked up two steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kerry Griffin, who posted 11 points.

Spencer pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points over those games. As for Jordan, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spencer will take on Hardaway at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. Spencer is facing Hardaway at the right time seeing as Hardaway is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Jordan, they will challenge Shaw at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
