Sanderson extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Nathan Fife. The Sanderson Spartans came out on top against the Athens Drive Jaguars by a score of 51-38 on Thursday thanks in part to Fife, who went 6 of 11 en route to 15 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Athens Drive lost, don't look at Chay Smith. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 20 on his way to 18 points. Smith continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Marcus Green was another key player, putting up six points and seven boards.

Sanderson's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. As for Athens Drive, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Sanderson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-53 victory against Broughton on the 17th. As for Athens Drive, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 89-69 loss against Cardinal Gibbons on the 24th.
