Charlestown has gone 9-1 against New Washington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Pirates are taking a road trip to square off against the Mustangs at 9:00 a.m. Charlestown is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Charlestown came up short against Christian Academy on Thursday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-19, 25-12.

Meanwhile, New Washington posted their closest victory since September 28, 2024 on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over South Central. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (105-101) New Washington actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 27-25, 17-25, 17-25, 15-10.

New Washington's victory bumped their record up to 8-18. As for Charlestown, their loss dropped their record down to 11-17.

Charlestown took their win against New Washington in their previous meeting back in August by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
