Basketball Recap: Santaluces Takes a Loss

Santaluces was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-64 heartbreaker at the hands of the Park Vista Cobras. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (55), the Chiefs still had to take the loss.

Santaluces' defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Park Vista, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santaluces will square off against Olympic Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chiefs will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.2 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Park Vista, they will take on Lake Worth at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cobras will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 69 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
