Baseball Recap: Melissa Extends Winning Streak to Three

Melissa extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 20-3-1 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the McKinney North Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-7 on Wednesday.

As for McKinney North, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12-1. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only two runs.

For McKinney North's part, Austin Sayman spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up 13 Ks.

At the plate, McKinney North saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bexley Carter, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
