While Thales Academy Apex has struggled at home with five straight losses dating back to last season, that wasn't the case on Tuesday thanks to Julia Sheng. Everything went the Titans' way against the Friendship Christian Falcons as they made off with a 3-0 victory thanks in part to Sheng, who had 18 digs and seven aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times she's played.

The win didn't come easy: Friendship Christian scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 25-20.

Thales Academy Apex's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Friendship Christian, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Thales Academy Apex and Friendship Christian will both be playing Neuse Christian Academy the next time they take the court. The Titans will host the Lions at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, while the Falcons will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
