Preview: Ottoville Big Green vs. Fort Jennings Musketeers
Ottoville is 10-0 against Fort Jennings since March of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The two teams will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Ottoville is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fort Jennings in Ohio (Ottoville is ranked 176th, while Fort Jennings is ranked 599th).
Ottoville suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 72-48 walloping at the hands of St. Henry.
Fort Jennings posted their biggest victory yet this season on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 72-34 victory over McComb at home. With Fort Jennings ahead 33-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Ottoville's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Fort Jennings, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.
Ottoville was able to grind out a solid win over Fort Jennings in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 70-58. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ottoville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
